Reinstalling SIMS .Net for Workstation

Please follow this guide if you haven't yet received the new SIMS update. It'll be worth you getting in contact with your school allocated IT Team to check if the version has reached your device.


1. Click on the little arrow in the bottom right

2. Double click on the blue square with the person in the middle

3. A new box will appear - You'll want to click on the tab called 'Applications'

4. Click, 'Check for updates'

5. You may get the following box appear - Just click Yes

6. Otherwise, please just click 'Deploy Now'

At this point, the installation/reinstallation will take up to 5 minutes. Once or twice, it'll prompt you to click 'Deploy Now' to start the installation quicker. You'll know when the installation is done because at the end it should say 'There are no Capita SIMS Software Updates to be installed' but wait a few minutes before assuming this.
