How to setup the Companion App for Sign In App

In this guide, we show you how to setup the 'Companion App' for Sign In App.

Sign In App comes with a handy mobile app which staff can install on their Android/Google phone or Apple iPhone. Essentially, if you don't want to visit a kiosk or forget to visit kiosk then the mobile app takes over for you and you can sign in through your phone. This can either be done manually or you can use the geo-fencing technology so your phone can detect when you enter a Twynham Learning school boundary.

All staff will have received an email from Sign In App with a companion code. The code to enter is detailed below.

Below is a step by step guide on how to do this:

1) Search for 'Sign In App Companion' on the App Store for iPhone or on the Google Play store.

2) Once installed, tap get 'get started'

3) Enter the code you will have received from Sign In App in the 3 boxes

4) The app will automatically know who you are (by using the code entered previously) and log you in automatically. Here you'll be able to see the amount of hours you've been signed in across the week as well as what sites you have visited.

5) At the bottom, there's 3 lines. Tap this and you can modify some of the app settings like 'Auto sign/out'. Once enabled, you can make use of the geo-fencing technology to automatically sign you in when you enter a Twynham Learning school boundary.

6) Toggling this will prompt you to enable this
